While searching for a suitable map to shoehorn FOB Street, I came across this map of someplace that is more home than some apartments I’ve lived in over the years.

It’d be interesting to map an episode as hit happens, like Jeffy in the Family Circus, only… y’know, funny.

This map is an awesome interactive display of movie grosses and longevity.

Doesn’t go back far enough for me (how long DID the original Star Wars stick around? What about Raiders of the Lost Ark?), but it’s freaking rad anyway!

History of Religion

So, two of our Fisty Brethren… er, brotherren and sisteren… whatever… PiercedFinger and BJFinger got married about 2 weeks ago.  They then spent the intervening week or so frantically preparing to move, part and parcel, to England, presumably because it’s just like the Pacific Northwest, only with fewer bald eagles.

They flew out on the  9th, arrived in Albion, and were told they had all the paperwork for a visa, but no visa.  It would seem the British consulate in Los Angeles isn’t as full of information and helpfulness as one would hope.  I think it’s because they’ve been tipping the brandy with Britney or something.  Anyway. after a period in holding and some questioning, they were told to pack it up and go back to the colonies.

So our freshly married fingers are back in WA, mildly despondent, but planning to get their water fowl in a horizontal line and give it another try… AFTER getting their visas.

Well, on behalf of the fist I’d like to say that SUCKS… but we’re glad to have you back for a bit.

This is pretty much the way I see the end of the world going down.
