Pictured above is the Chinese Giant Salamander. It’s huge and looks like some sort of gigantic tongue (or penis).
That is just the tip of the weird and horrifying animal iceberg on Robert Brockaway’s list of the most disturbing animals in the world
Be sure to watch the video of the shark that uses it’s Spidey-sense to throw its H.R. Geiger mouth at enemies. I know Digit loves the sharks, but this one should give the most seasoned of shark lovers night terrors.
Robert’s turned some rad phrases in his article, so read, read, read, fingers.
ON THE FLYING SNAKE:
They are actually the most adept of the ‘gliding’ animals, even outpacing the famous Flying Squirrel. The chief difference here being that, when you see a flying squirrel, you’re likely to say something along the lines of “aww, Flying Squirrel! Cuuuute!” Whereas sightings of the Chrysopelea are usually accompanied by cries of “what the fuck?! Snakes can fly?! I quit life!”
