I blew a tire once at a gas station, putting air into it. There was an imperfection in the sidewall, I guess, because it was a relatively new tire and nowhere near max inflation according to the gauge. Or my friend had curbed it hard while driving it and never told me. Anyway, it didn’t hurt me, save for a few stinging fragments to my face – mostly just shook me up – and adding to this was the fact that every human being within a 100 foot radius jumped, then looked at me.
