I found it particularly fascinating when the centipede was gnawing on the tendons in the leg and the toes curled and opened.

Middle, that’s too scary. A centipede big enough to kill and eat that squirrel would be as big as your forearm.

I can’t remember if I told this story here, or not:
When I worked for the Parks over a decade ago (alongside Index), we had a co-worker from Trinidad, David. He had lots of great stories of island life, and onesuch was about this Rasta who had a terrible headache that just wouldn’t go away. Eventually he went to a doctor, where it was discovered, as David put it, that “there was a huge centipede, livin’ in his locks [dreds], just kinda’ attached to his scalp and feedin’…”
I guess you had to be there, but with the Trinidad accent and David’s animated way of telling the story (he was one of a kind), I just about died laughing.

I couldn’t watch the whole thing. Those pink feet made me really uncomfortable.
Stink’s second telling of the story was similar to the first, but no less funny.
