Takes me back to high school biology. We were passing around some pickled critters, and Dave Anderson turned the ass-end of the octopus specimen to me and said, “Beave-Shot.”

Someone just grafted the two together. We do it with cacti all the time. Heh.
Wouldn’t it be rad to be able to explore the oceans, I mean, really explore them? I think I’d take that over flying any day.

This does not look much like an octopus at all to me. The only similarities it has to an octopus is this squid has no arms coming from near the beak to control where it is placing its food. I work with squid daily and this has every bit, aside from the missing long arms, of a resembalance to a common squid from the northeast. Cephalapods are strange looking creatures. It does not seem that odd to me that domething like this would pop up to us considering that we have bearely discovered any of the ocean beyond a thousand feet or so. I think what is really necessary is that more ocean exploration should be done so that people have the ability to find more creatures out there like this one. There is so muchh to learn about the ocean and coming from an economic and scientific standpoint much money and much positive science could happen if more money came from the federal government for marine biological research.
